What I’ve Learned in My First Major League Baseball Season

Great article from the Broadcasting Coordinator for the Washington Nationals.

The best line… TEAM goes beyond the roster… and it’s worth noting that, the roster is publicly visible but not the entire organization. There are many people behind the scenes making what’s public, actually possible.

If you’re on the front lines, in the limelight… remember to thank those who support your being able to be there.

Life on Pursuit

81.  That’s the number of home games played in a Major League Baseball season.  81 is the number of games I’ve sat/worked/studied through since the beginning of April (+/- a few games/exhibitions) and that’s not counting the (unexpectedly short) PostSeason for the Nationals here in DC.

When I first accepted the position of Coordinator for Broadcasting and Game Presentation for the Washington Nationals, I thought it’d be a sweet, fun-filled, dream-like experience.  The opportunity to say I work for a Major League Baseball team was “pinch-me, I’m dreaming” unbelievably cool.  Through the course of the season, however cool and dream-like it has seemed at times, it has also been a very teachable moment in my life.
